Research summary

In this project, we systematically review the impact of mental health interventions on economic behaviours and welfare of people with mental illness, in low- and middle-income countries, with a view to conducting a potential meta-analysis of economic outcomes. In parallel, colleagues from the medical sciences will conduct a similar review for intimate partner violence (IPV) outcomes. Further goals of this project are to collaborate with investigators currently engaged in trials in LMIC, with a view to adding standardised economic and IPV outcome measures to follow-up assessments of trials in the field, and to develop funding proposals for future trials targeting economic or IPV outcomes.
