Sam is a Predoctoral Fellow working on a large-scale research project on social protection in East Africa. Before joining Oxford, he worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), where he previously completed the GIZ Trainee Programme, including placements with IDinsight in Zambia and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
During his Master's, he worked as a research assistant with the Development Economics Research Group at the University of Copenhagen. He holds an MSc in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen and an MA in Economics from the University of Aberdeen.
