Julio is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the What Works Hub for Global Education at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. His research focuses on the intersection of education and labor economics, applying causal inference methods to study segregation, inequality, and effects on long-term outcomes. He is also interested in algorithmic decision-making and its impact on equity. Julio holds a PhD in Economics and Education from Columbia University and Master degrees from Columbia University and Universidad de Chile. He previously worked as a research fellow and consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank.
