Joanna Mihaylova is an economist specialising in development and behavioural economics. She holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Manchester and a BSc in Economics from the University of Sheffield. Her research interests centre on the design and evaluation of interventions aimed at improving economic and social well-being, promoting sustainable development, and reducing poverty. Previously, Joanna worked in the Young Lives study at the Oxford Department of International Development, where she examined the role of information provision and precommitment mechanisms in shaping healthy food choices, and analysed large-scale survey data to generate evidence on education, health and well-being, employment and family lives. Prior to this, she interned with the Resilience Analysis for Action team at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, where she conducted cross-country analyses on food security and the strengthening of resilient livelihoods.”
