Jesita is a DPhil student in public policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on labour and behavioural economics within the context of developing countries with particular interests in how norms affect female labour force participation in developing economies. Prior to joining Oxford, Jesita was a predoctoral fellow at NHH FAIR, Norway. She was involved in randomised controlled trials (RCTs) in Tanzania and Ghana, examining gender norms, attitudes, and the transition from secondary education to the labour market.
Jesita is from Indonesia and holds a Master of Research in Economics (High Distinction) from the Paris School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, where I was the Valedictorian.
