Dongyi Wu is a DPhil student in International Development at the University of Oxford’s Department of International Development. Her research explores migration and social networks, focusing on how diaspora networks shape investment decisions of migrants in developing countries. She is broadly interested in integrating sociological concepts into economic analysis. Prior to joining Oxford, she worked at the Center for Global Development, where her research examined the prevalence, measurement, and intervention for school violence, as well as the international aid for development in the education sector.
She holds a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University College London (UCL).
