Anvita Ramachandran is a doctoral candidate in International Development at the University of Oxford. Her research interests lie broadly in development and labour economics, and includes topics like human capital, migration, and firms. She previously obtained an MPhil in Development Studies (with distinction) at the University of Oxford, and a BA in Economics and a BSc in Statistics (magna cum laude) from the University of Chicago. Alongside her studies, Anvita has also worked as a research assistant with the Young Lives study in Oxford and the Centre for the Economics of Human Development in Chicago, studying the link between childhood skill development and various forms of inequality. Her research is generously supported by the Economic and Social Research Council, the Saven European Scholarship, and the Scatcherd European Scholarship.
