Departmental Lecturer in Development Economics (Economics)

Jin is a Departmental Lecturer in Development Economics and a Fellow of St. Anthony's College.

He teaches international trade and several topics of econometrics. Previously Jin has taught development economics, math camp for incoming Ph.D. students as a main instructor. 

Jin's research is on the intersection of development economics, labor economics, and international trade. Most of his work uses both theoretical models and large data set to answer economic questions that interest him. Examples are work on the effect of minimum wage on labor market structure in Indonesia, and on gender inequality. Also, Jin works on the effect of wage inequality on individual decision makings on education, marriage, and fertility decision in South Korea.
