Biography
Christopher Adam studied economics at St Andrews University and Oxford. Following two years as an ODI Fellow in the Ministry of Finance in Swaziland (1987-89) he returned to Oxford to take a D.Phil. in Economics. In 1992 he became a Research Officer at CSAE before being appointed to his current position in 1995. He a co-editor of the Journal of African Economies, Professeur Invité and CERDI, Université d’Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, and occasional External Macroeconomic Adviser to the Policy Division on DFID.
His research covers a range of issues in the macroeconomics and political economy of of low-income economies, principally those of Sub-Saharan Africa. Please see the links above for more details.
