Economic Development in Africa

Conference papers are on any topics related to African economic development, including in a comparative context. The conference consisted of parallel sessions, with two plenary sessions.
UNU-WIDER is collaborating with CSAE to select a number of papers presented at the conference for possible inclusion in an edited volume, to be published after suitable revision by a reputable publisher under the title, “African Development: Myths and Realities”. WIDER is the World Institute for Development Economics Research, based in Helsinki and part of the United Nations University.
