Reducing Poverty and Inequality: How can Africa be included?

A conference on poverty and growth in Africa
This conference will be held on 19th March 2006 to 21st March 2006, at St Catherine's College.
Papers addressing economic analysis of any issues relevant for growth and poverty in Africa are invited. This conference will largely consist of parallel sessions, with two plenary sessions.
The call for papers will open on 1 September and the deadline for submission of abstracts will be 4pm, 16 December 2005 (extended by request of some scholars). A decision will be made by the programme committee by 15 January 2006. All submissions will be electronic. Online submissions will be available in October. Applicants from Africa (and travelling from Africa) may be eligible for full participation and travel costs and will be asked to submit a full paper for consideration. Ph.D. candidates should submit a full paper though a draft paper or full outline will also be considered for acceptance.

This conference will follow on from the GPRG conference on Equity, Opportunity and Identity, taking place on 19 March from 10am. Participants are invited to attend this conference as well.
